Josanne Gilliam has worked for the past thirty-one years in the waste industry. Green-Up Environmental Group is her lifelong dream. Josanne has been employed by some of the top hauling companies in the United States, including Browning Ferris and Waste Services of Florida. Her dedication to the waste and recycling industry is unsurpassed and exemplary.

Josanne has served as co-chair for Keep Orlando Beautiful, a part of Keep America Beautiful, and is currently a member of Recycle Florida Today. In 1990, Josanne was recognized in a national waste magazine, "American Waste Digest," for her innovative recycling program directed at educating elementary school students about the importance of recycling.

To further this goal, she created TRASH K.O.P. (KIDS OF the PLANET), a program designed for educating children on the importance of recycling. The program was adopted by Keep Orlando Beautiful in 1999. Realizing the program should be broaden to reach adults and businesses she has launched TRASH K.O.P.S. (KEEP OUR PLANET SAFE).
